Your questions, answered

What is hole-in-one insurance?

Hole-in-one insurance is a form of prize indemnity insurance: if a golfer makes a hole-in-one during your tournament, the policy pays out the prize you offered (cash, a car, a trip), so you don't have to fund the full prize yourself on the rare chance it happens.

How much does it cost to insure a hole-in-one prize?

Cost depends on the prize value, the hole's distance and the number of entrants, so we don't quote prices on this site — a licensed agent can give you an exact quote for your event.

What is prize indemnity insurance?

Prize indemnity insurance is the broader category that hole-in-one insurance belongs to — it covers event organizers who offer a prize tied to a specific contest outcome, whether that's a hole-in-one, a half-court shot, or a putting contest.

Can I insure other contest prizes besides a hole-in-one?

Yes. The same type of coverage can apply to half-court shots, putting contests, longest-drive contests, field-goal kicks and similar skill-based promotions at other events.

Do I need insurance if the odds of a hole-in-one are low?

A hole-in-one is rare, but if it happens without coverage, the full prize comes out of your event's budget — insurance transfers that risk for a comparatively small premium. We don't publish specific odds or statistics here; ask a licensed agent.

How do agents sponsor a territory on this site?

Agents can list for free, or sponsor a ZIP code, 20 ZIP codes, or an entire state so event organizers in that area see them first when requesting a quote.

Is hole-in-one insurance a form of gambling?

No. It's a legitimate risk-transfer insurance product underwritten by licensed carriers for skill contests at charitable, corporate and recreational events — it is not a wager.
